Ronald Bailey of Reason magazine has chosen to simply disregard everything about the Terri Schiavo situation that Judge Greer disregarded. The networks reduced the footage of Terri laughing, speaking, and tracking movement to a virtual slide show. Worldnet Daily has run a far from comprehensive feature about the misinformation being uncritically parroted in the mainstream media (such as the notion that medical opinion is in unanimous agreement with the diagnosis made by a bunch of lawyers, which the public must be disabused of. What gets to me is what the papers and the networks omit, which I hesitate to begin listing here (such as the possibility that a crime is being concealed by denying Terri Schiavo medical treatment and arraigning ahead of time to have her cremated without an autopsy, the fact that the lack of drooling likely indicates some ability to swallow, her tracking of objects, and the orders given by Judge Greer that only make sense as efforts to cover up any errors he may have made). Some other neglected pertinent matters are brought up in this fact sheet and this Barbara Simpson commentary (this last link will work now).
